Cropton Village Hall & Reading Room - a community project
Refurbishment, Alteration & Extension
At Cropton Village Hall the practice worked very closely with the client to rationalise, re-organise and enhance their existing halls accommodation retaining as much of the existing building as possible ensuring that any expensive new build was kept to an absolute minimum.
A practical and cost effective flexible heating system, new disabled access and sanitary facilities complying with current legislation were provided, whilst discretely resolving numerous technically challenging construction issues. Inherent with the upgrade of an old building fabric.
Location
Cropton, Nr York, United Kingdom
A testament to the skill of the Architects, McNeil Beechey O’Neill
Cropton Reading Room is a testament to the skill of the Architects, McNeil Beechey O’Neill and I have no hesitation in recommending them in the future. Our refurbished reading rooms and village hall were officially re-opened by The Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, Lord Crathorne. It is a building to be very proud of and compares with any in North Yorkshire.
