Fantasia Pixian Culture and Heritage Town Master Plan
Respect the Spirit of Place
The conceptual masterplan incorporated three distinct areas of development, contained and separated by an existing road network. Our master plan design built a theme that linked all three developments together into a coherent philosophy that follows the life of the river which flows through the Chuan Shu Da Jing Development.
Water is symbolic of the essence of life and its phases of development. Our “River of Life” concept follows the symbolic nature of water as the essence of life, commerce and Shu Culture in the Chuan Shu Da Jing Development, the three distinct areas are shown as:
One Embankment, One Town and One Heart.
The overall design uses traditional forms and Sichuan West design references, with modern materials and expression. To provide a historic link to the areas past while connecting with the contemporary and commercial expression of the future. Important design principles due to the location and proximity of the historic and Ancient Wangcong Temple and Burial site to the north of the “One Heart” area.
This mode of design and architectural expression allows a modern and commercial One Heart area, with a Commercial “One Town” with a blend of ancient and modern architecture linked to a more open and agrarian 'Linpan' Culture in the North of the development in the “One Embankment area”. Where the Artisans salons and Artistic expression areas are located.
