Han Gu Shan Visitor Centre, Phase 1 of a larger master plan
Phase 1 of our Han Gu Shan master plan was to provide a visitors centre, which would also include an educational element, retail, restaurant, sales area and general visitor exhibition area in a sustainable building that is built on a steeply sloping parcel of land. Eventually the building will become the management company offices as well as retaining a visitor centre use.
To put the master plan into context, the first 1200 mu (80ha) was to form a leisure experience and associated residential units, visitor attractions, commercial/retail properties all closely related to the lands existing use which is agricultural. As part of that plan aside from the aforementioned building works, there are attraction such a model farm, the renovation of an early communist commune farm, 5 star hotels, camping areas, tree houses and tree restaurants, fruit farms, flower nurseries, water sports and golf.
The land leads to a larger area beyond the valley which measures around 65 km2, which is to become a extension of the urban rural experience and provide leisure areas for the fast growing Bei bei area of Chongqing.
We have also master planned and implemented a hot spring hotel resort and wet lands within the Bei bei District although these are not connected with our hot spring resort at Dazhou or this development at Han Gu Shan.
